Zajęcia odbywają się na krytej pływalni J&J Sport Center zlokalizowanej na ul. Winnickiej 40 w Krakowie.
Do dyspozycji jest basen o głębokości 90 cm – 160 cm i szerokości 17x10, uzdatniany wodą solankową, wzbogaconą o składniki zapewniające jej czystość i bezpieczeństwo dla zdrowia.
Pływanie wpływa szczególnie korzystnie na ogólny rozwój psychofizyczny, a także sprawność dzieci.
Uczestniczenie w zajęciach na basenie i ruch w wodzie przynosi dzieciakom szereg korzyści:
- poprawia ogólny stan zdrowia i uodparnia na przeziębienia przez ruch, ćwiczenia ogólnorozwojowe i hartowanie ciała
- różnica temperatur, zwiększone ciśnienie i masowanie skóry przez wodę zwiększają jej ukrwienie powodując lepsze krążenie krwi i zwiększenie wydolności serca
- koryguje wady postawy i zapobiega skrzywieniom kręgosłupa oraz harmonijnie rozwija całe ciało, gdyż aktywizuje więcej grup mięśniowych niż jakakolwiek inna dyscyplina sportowa
- wyrabia pożądane cechy osobowościowe np. odwagę, zdyscyplinowanie
- wpływa na rozwój społeczny przez zgodne współdziałanie w zespole, a także odpowiedzialność za drugą osobę znajdującą się w wodzie
